Before seeing Lexi, I was having urinary accidents on a regular basis and had to wear a pad every day. I remember thinking surgery must be the only option since nothing else had worked (medications, personal training, kegels). When I found Lexi, I was a little apprehensive. These symptoms are embarrassing! Lexi quickly put me at ease and helped me tremendously. Now, no pads, no leakage. It has made every part of my life better and easier!
I was struggling with self-image since I didn't want to go to the gym for fear for urine leakage. Lexi taught me exercises that were applicable to me personally… not just "cookie cutter". This has made my life so much better. I have so much more control- I can go to the gym again! And bonus, I can have sex with my husband without pain- something I didn't even know was possible.
I was diagnosed with a vaginal prolapse and was also dealing with bouts of constipation, sudden urge leakage, and extremely frequent urination. My doctor recommended I get pelvic floor PT with Lexi. I was not confident that PT would be successful, because I had pelvic floor therapy before (at another location out of state) and it was NOT successful and actually kind of humiliating. I was wrong! From the beginning I was put at ease and I felt that Lexi really cared about helping me feel better physically and about myself. My pelvic floor muscles are much, much strong now and I no longer have to rush to the bathroom every half hour. Things feel back to normal!
Lexi helped me with nearly unbearable SPD pain during my pregnancy. This was also during a time I was home full time with my toddler. Her help with my PT allowed me to keep up with my toddler and everyday tasks. I felt comfortable with her from the first session! I truly believe all pregnancies (and postpartum) would benefit form pelvic floor physical therapy, and I had a great experience with Lexi.
Lexi is amazing! I was dealing with bladder issues- leaking, not emptying all the way, also pain with sex and using tampons. It started after delivering my 1st child. My OB recommended pelvic floor physical therapy. The place I went to had me going 2-3 times a week! And nothing helped. My OB ended up sending me to a surgeon who then recommended I see Lexi. I was p*ssed! I didn't want to go through therapy again. I actually remember crying at my evaluation with Lexi. She quickly put me at ease and really worked with me to discover the root of my issue. And now- what a difference. I'm 100% better, no surgery needed!
I was a patient of Lexi’s 3.5 months after delivering my daughter. She is an amazing practitioner, and made a somewhat personal and uncomfortable experience less intimidating. Lexi’s bedside manner is top notch; she is an excellent conversationalist and made the sessions fly by. Her assessment is comprehensive, holistic, and went well beyond “just” the pelvic floor. In addition to pelvic floor strength, we also worked on regaining strength and properly resuming some of my favorite physical activities (running, lifting, yoga). She is an expert in her field and explained everything in thorough, easily comprehensible terms. The at-home time commitment can be easily incorporated; even as a busy new mom! After about 6 weeks with Lexi, I’m back to working out as I did pre-pregnancy (with no residual pelvic floor weakness) and I continue to utilize her prescribed exercises as supplements to my workouts. Pelvic floor physical therapy should be standard of care after carrying and delivering a baby…and Lexi is an absolute gem.
